Frequently Asked Questions
IT Wigs has gathered the most common questions to help you.
Can I glue my lace wig?
We do not recommend gluing synthetic lace wigs. For greater durability, it is ideal to remove them before sleeping.
What is the difference between synthetic, organic, and human hair?
Synthetic: made of artificial fibers, cannot be dyed, and has a shorter lifespan.
Organic: an evolution of synthetic, more natural and heat-resistant, allowing styling with moderate temperature.
Human: made with real hair, can be dyed, styled, and treated like natural hair, but has a higher cost.

Do synthetic wigs need to be glued?
No. Most have an elastic adjustment and clips for secure fastening, without the need for glue.
What is Futura Fiber?
It is a type of synthetic fiber that withstands heat up to approximately 180ºC, allowing the use of flat irons and curling irons.
If I straighten a curly lace wig, will it return to being curly after washing?
No. After straightening a curly lace wig, it will not recover its original curls. It will be necessary to manually recreate the curls with a curling iron.
Is it normal for strands to fall out?
Yes, it is relatively common for some fibers to fall out, especially during the first uses (a process called shedding). Causes may include manufacturing (strands not fully secured), forceful handling/combing or inadequate tools, and natural wear from continuous use. Bio-fiber wigs tend to shed a bit more due to the silicone in the strands — which does not prevent proper use.
Can I dye my lace wig?
It is not possible to dye synthetic or organic hair.
Can I sleep with my lace wig?
We recommend not sleeping with your lace wig. During sleep, there is a lot of friction with the skin and bedding, which can tangle the strands and reduce durability.
Do lace wigs have too much shine?
We carefully select our products, working with the best brands in the world (Outre, Beshe, Sensationnel, and Freetress Equal), ensuring a natural look without excessive shine.
Can I get it wet at the beach or pool?
Yes, you can! But be aware: curly hair can tangle. For the beach/pool, prefer straight hair or very short wigs — afterwards, just brush it with a paddle brush and it will look beautiful again. Curly hair tends to loosen its curls.
Can it be washed?
Yes, but not with the same frequency as human hair — it doesn't get dirty easily or absorb odors. We advise washing every 15 to 20 days; if used infrequently, it can last longer. We send a leaflet with the product explaining the washing process.
How long will it last?
Durability depends on how, when, and how often you use it — it has more to do with care than with the lace wig itself. Short lace wigs (that don't reach the shoulder) last more than 6 months, sometimes over a year. Very long lace wigs are not recommended for daily use; if you use it every day, have at least two to alternate.
Which one do you recommend for daily use?
We always recommend shorter lace wigs, which are more practical for daily use. Very long hair requires tying up, constant adjustment, and with heat and friction, it tangles faster.
Does the wig get very hot?
It depends on the material. Synthetic models get hotter than human hair ones. Prefer lace wigs with breathable caps for more comfort.
How to prevent the wig from slipping?
Correctly adjust the internal straps and use clips or elastic bands for greater security.
Does wearing a wig cause hair loss or damage natural hair?
No, as long as it is used correctly and with natural hair well-cared for and protected.
